DASTO
produces a wide rang of RF components-coaxial switches, coaxial
connectors, adapters, rigid coaxial transmission lines, all designed and
constructed under stringent quality norms. The contacts provide perfect
electrical connection and are highly resistant to corrosion.

RF Coaxial cable
connectors:
-
General. DASTO's RF coaxial connectors with 7/16 DIN, N, and
EIA flanged terminals are designed for RF coaxial cables with
characteristic impedance of 50 ohms. Their construction secures solid
contact to both the outer and center conductor.
-
Mechanical design. All resilient contacting parts are made of
copper beryllium alloy and are thermally treated in special dies. Pure
PTFE is used for insulation to provide consistent performance
characteristics even at high operational temperature. The silicone O-rings
are used to prevent moisture and water penetration between the connector
components and the cable.
-
Frequency range. 0-1000 MHz
-
Impedance: 50 ohms
-
VSWR <1.03
-
Material:
Body and other contact components: CuZn39Pb
Center conductor:
CuZn39Pb3, CuBe
Insulators: PTFE
Gaskets: Silicone rubber
Hardware set: Stainless steel
Finish: Electrolytic and chemical bath

Part 2-335 K
Part 3-227 K
Part 4-445 K
Part 5-387 K

Adapters:
General. DASTO produces four
types of adapters: straight, panel mount, "T" and Right Angle adapters.
All types of adapters
have 50 ohms impedance.

RF Coaxial transfer
switches
RF Coaxial transfer
switches (50 ohms)
-
General. DASTO coaxial switches 7/16" DIN, 7/8" DIN and
1 5/8" EIA motorized blade type with four ports are intended for fast are
reliable switching of coaxial transmission line systems. The coaxial
switch 7/16 has standard 7/16 DIN female interfaces. The ports of the 7/8"
and 1 5/8" coaxial switches are terminated with standard EIA fixed flanges
with non-removable mail inner conductor connectors. All sizes have similar construction and use the same
drive package.
-
Mechanical design. The switching is accomplished by one of 24 VDC motor and
a simple Geneva mechanism, providing a very accurate 900
rotation and mechanical locking of the rotor in the switchers operating
position. A dwell period between the rotation of the driving shaft and the
movement of the RF contacts, activates the auxiliary micro contacts which
disconnect the RF power throughout the switch to prevent any damage of the
components attached and the switch itself. The switches are equipped with
a visual position indicator and emergency knob for manual switching.

Coaxial switches - U link type
-
General: U - link type motorized coaxial switches are capable of very
high isolation (minimum cross talking) and high power handling, intended
foe easy and reliable switching of coaxial transmission line system and
also for multiplying transmitters and antennas in matrices. The four ports
are placed at the front side and are terminated with fixed flanges with
non-removable mail inner conductor connectors.
-
Switching: It is realized by means of 24 VDC motor and specially designed
kinematics which provide disconnecting, rotation of 900 and
finally reconnecting of the two U-link connections. An electrical
interlock system based on auxiliary micro switches is designed so that
power is removed before switch operation can be carried out. The switch
can be controlled manually with the handwheel mounted on the switch.

Coaxial switches - matrix systems
-
Matrix system. Any number of U-link type coaxial switches can be
organized in matrix system where any transmitter could be connected to any
antenna at any given date or time. These matrices have an application in a
number of frequency bands but they are primarily designed for high
frequency because of the minimum cross talking (isolation >100 dB). The
matrices offers flexibility in design and allow for future expansion by
direct addition of column or row switches. It is impossible at the same
one transmitter to be connected to another, or two transmitters with one
antenna. When there is no need of connection of any transmitter to any
antenna, these matrices offer an opportunity some of the matrix cross
point switches removed and simply bridged with U-link coaxial transmission
line.

Rigid
coaxial line
General. The rigid coaxial lines
constructed by DASTO are manufactured using high quality material, by
highly qualified personnel and subject to rigorous quality controls with
the aim of providing a high degree of quality as well as perfect finish.
